About Miami and Charleston Product Photographer Kate Benson

 

2004 – Kate graduates from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Photography

2004 to 2006 – She starts assisting in the New England area

2006 – Kate moves to Miami and starts Kate Benson Photography on the side while she continues to assist

2008 – Kate freelances as photo editor of Key Biscayne Magazine and Brickell Magazine, while starting to work full time on Kate Benson Photography

2008 – Toward the end of the year, Kate helps launch SoFi Magazine, and becomes Direct of Photography for it

2009 to 2014 – Kate works with major advertising companies across the country, clients working on international campaigns, and has her work seen in magazines like InStyle Magazine, Food & Wine, The New York Observer, BBC, Luxe Interiors, Allure, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and more

2014 – Kate opens her 1500 sq. ft. studio in Ft. Lauderdale

2015 – Kate moves to Charleston, where she opens a second studio location
